iPhone Photos: A Conversation with Charlaine Harris

We had such a wonderful time last night, well probably me more so than Cole. It was so wonderful hearing one of my favorite authors chat about her books and answer so many questions. It was a huge turn out and Cole and I sat up in the balcony where we were pretty much alone. Charlaine is a truly charming southern lady that looks more like your mom or grandmother than the type of person you'd expect to write such graphic books. She signed every single copy and was even sweet enough to pose for pictures. I spent the long wait in line chatting with two girls in front of me. We were all Eric fans and agreed that this season better rock. When my turn finally arrived, Charlaine thanked me for coming out and I told her that "I love, love, love your books" and she said "Well, thank you so much". Even her young assistant was really sweet (she took the photo of me and blinking Charlaine) and complimented me on my glasses and said she is looking for a similar pair, I said they're Oliver Peoples and the best! Overall, it was amazing and I can't thank Cole enough for taking me and putting up with all the crazy women.

... Before the event we ate at one of our favorite Ann Arbor restaurants, Jolly Pumpkin. If you ever go there, you must try the truffle fries! They are to die for.
