Growing up I was first a Daisy, then a Brownie and then a Junior Girl Scout. I actually almost went on to become a Cadet but decided I was getting too old for that sort of thing. Either way, I will never forget the wonderful uniforms and more importantly the amazing badges. The lovely Liz, of With Care, really knows how to bring me back to my do-gooder days with her perfect vintage pieces!

I dropped out of Junior Girl Scouts when the girls in the grade below us got in. Well, it was the year after that, actually, because they were SO annoying. Most of the girls from my grade dropped out that year too.

Thanks for the profile, Maria! I love hearing about your secret do-gooder past. I also made it to Cadets but never really attended any of the meetings. I wonder if I would still be welcomed at the International Girl Scout Chalet in Switzerland? It sounds like a pretty cool place.
