October Railroad

The first thing I thought of while editing these photos was this post from last year. At the time, I had just received these Cheerio boots which were my first ever pair of Seychelles and couldn't wait to style them. Looking for a new location to showcase the boots, Cole and I stumbled upon these scenic railroad tracks. That was a fun and definitely blog altering day. Blogging was still so new to me and still so intimidating and yet somehow wearing my new boots and finding this lovely spot made me feel like I was heading in the right direction. Ever since then, I've worn my boots endless times and taken countless photos by these tracks. It's amazing how very much and yet very little has changed in one year- I still feel constantly intimidated and overwhelmed by blogging and new shoes still make me feel like anything's possible. ;)

As I mentioned the other day, Tressa of Puppycatmeow was kind enough to send a few braids my way. I've been wanting a braided headband for some time now and couldn't wait to style this one! What's really cool is that Tressa works with you to find the closest match to your hair color. Since my ends are naturally lighter I wear Lightest Brown for the long braids, but knowing that my roots are darker I asked Tressa to combine Light Brown and Lightest Brown together for the headband. I think the color turned out perfect!

Another beautiful, inspiring post, lovely Maria. While it may intimidate you, I still find you to be the most naturally gifted and beautiful blogger I know, you seem to do everything so effortlessly!
Here's to plenty more discovery of beautiful scenery and slight alterations. That first photo is just stunning.

You are so adorable! And so exciting, you'll see your sis back after such a long time.
These pictures look wonderful! And it's really funny about your new shoe observation, I totally feel that way too! New shoes definitely get rid of any self consciousness or doubts about taking blog pictures!!
Wow Maria these photos are amazing! The trees are the most beautiful colors and you have captured them so well. I love the puff sleeves on your blouse. And it is so nice to hear about your blogging story...it is helpful for those of us with young blogs.
I have been absolutely loving the very elegant feminine looks you've been sporting the last week or so. beautiful! x
Beautiful photos! The trees have such a nice color!
Cute skirt!
Kisses!
Oh I love everything about that Outfit. Especially your cute hairband and the shoes. Oh apropos, I've bought a pair of boots similar to your Bradley boots and herewith I want to thank you for inspiring me!:) I will soon post some Photos with these cuties. I was just admiring your braid and how skillfully you'd done it when I read that it was a headband, it looks so like your real hair!! I love your outfit too, the shirt is so nice!! I love your train track photos too!

Such an adorable autumn outfit, and the backdrop is just stunning. I think I need to start exploring for more places to take outfit photos. It would be amazing to have a place like that :)
Your hair looks so dark in these photos! It's really pretty though- the braid matches perfectly! Plus, awesome skirt.
I am wicked jealous of Cole. An i-pad?? Thats incredible!!
That's also really exciting about your sister! My sister-in-law/best friend is named Erin too. (:

Everything about this outfit is absolutely wonderful, especially that skirt! I love it so, so much.
These pictures are so lovely! The colour of the trees is just amazing - ours are still green/turning yellow at the minute in the UK.
This is probably one of my favourite outfits of yours! Lovely :)
OH, how exciting! I love the fall feeling of your photos. I need to take some outside photos before it gets too cold.
such great pictures...those shoes are wonderful!
That braid is amazing...I so thought it was your own hair...I love it
Sisters are the best! I have two and get super-excited to see them, since they also live in a different state from me.
That braid headband is amazing. I was going to compliment you on your braiding skills and then was surprised to read that it's a headband. Very cool.
Interesting to read that you get overwhelmed by the whole blogging thing every now and then. Putting yourself in front of the world is a brave thing to do, and even though it gets more natural over time, it can also get more intimidating when you think of the growing audience, I'm sure.
I always love your train track shots :)
It looks like fall is full force in the midwest! We're only just starting to get some yellow leaves here. Once again beautiful pictures and outfit. That old picture of you startled by the train is so funny. I like that you have some tried and true outfit post locations. I think it can be comforting for the readers too. "Hey look there's Maria on the train tracks" We sort of get to know the familiar places in your life that way.
So exciting that your sister is coming to visit. Can't wait to hear all about it. And congrats on the iPad! Very lucky.
by the way, I found an amazing oversized cream cable knit sweater in my dad's closet...I'm so happy about it. ha

OMG firstly, congrats on the iPad! Haha. I was skeptical about them at first... but eh, if you won it, then that's awesome! The colors of these photos are stunning. Very autumn. I love the hot air balloon photo. The braid hairband looks good, looks real. It looks like you just stepped out of a Western! :) Have fun when your sister arrives!
i'm loving your hair in these shots, did you get it cut recently ?- i went AWOL for a few weeks but i'm back and hoping to catch up with everyone! feel like i've missed so much already! :) anyway~ your ensemble is adorable...oh.so.you Maria! <3
this is adorable, who does your photography?http://ohwaywardgirl.blogspot.com/
Just amazingly gorgeous.
You have been rocking the braids lately! Since you don't think it's cheating, I don't either, and must get one!
Well done with the iPad score. You must promise to do a post with Erin even if it intimidates her too - perhaps she could borrow some shoes like they're new? :p I think you might look more confident in your photos these days yay and Cole's photography skills are still ace! Love you guys.
Totally loving the photography on this Cole, the shots are great!
I adore the outfit, those boots are so cute.
xoxo
I love this styling on you, very classic! & your hair is looking so swell right now. Very Zooey Deschanel!
