Sorry for the lack luster background, but I had to seize the opportunity with Cole being home. Instead of my back steps, imagine that I'm standing in a gorgeous field of flowing wheat! Btw, Cole says "Thanks!" for all the well wishes and crossed fingers; his interview went quite well. Yay! I heard back from my doctor- he wants me to keep taking the 12.5 mcg of Synthroid. Even though the drug isn't doing much for me now, after reading comments from a few of you with Hashimoto's, I'm confident that given time it will help!
Tressa, of Puppycatmeow, was kind enough to send me a lovely long braid to pair with the one I bought last week. She also sent me a pretty braided headband that you'll see me wearing soon! Wearing the two braids together makes me feel like a modern day Sacagawea! This look definitely has Halloween costume potential!

You're so beautiful! You should really grow your hair out...which I know is what you're doing but you'll be cutting it, again, after that. I say enjoy it being long for a while before you cut it.

I just wanted to say, that I like it much more when you keep your lips natural.
I really like this look for you--a nice variation of the more preppy looks. The braids are fun--makes me want to get some too! I hope Cole is successful in his pursuits and the meds work out for you. I have a family member that takes the same meds you do and it took a while before there was an effect for her. Luckily, she did not need surgery.
I love those boots! (And the headband, and the long long braids!)
As for the Synthroid, give it time, and make sure not to take the generic version. I had severe concentration and energy problems which were fixed once I made the switch to the brand name, even at the same dosage. If it doesn't work out for you, there's a few less popular forms of thyroid hormone replacement (Armour and Cytomel, to name a few) that you can also try.
I honestly can't tell you how much I love this look!! The braids, the boots, the dress, the headband- everything!
Glad to hear Cole's interview went well! Hope you start feeling better soon.

glad cole's interview went well, yay! i hate taking medicine but letting it take its course won't hurt....i am not sure familiar but what about doing acupuncture? it works for so many people and that way you are not putting chemicals in your body...?

i have hashimoto's, and have been taking 125 mcg of synthroid daily for over 18 months, and i still see no difference in my overall health. my doctor just said to trust that i would be a lot worse if i wasn't on it.
also, you have to wait 6-8 weeks for the dose change to fully set, so that might be another reason you see no difference.
You look BREATHTAKING! and your boots are simply to die for!
