Up North

Photos by me using iPhone Camera Bag app.
Vacationing up north is truly so wonderful, but it doesn't come without its downfalls. I had a horrid internet connection and pretty much drove everyday to Traverse City or Petoskey to find a free wifi hot spot. This made the vacation a little less relaxing and a bit more stressful. I'm really thankful that I planned ahead of time and scheduled such amazing guest bloggers. I seriously don't know what I would have done without them. A hugely massive Thank You to Beatrice, Claire, Annie, Starr and Rosie!! Not only are you girls total life savers but you are also extremely inspiring. Every day was such a wonderful surprise, clicking on my blog and reading your guest posts. I am so very thankful to call each of you my blogging friends!!
Another big Thank You to all my amazing readers for sticking with me during my vacation and for treating my guests with love and kindness! You are all truly the best readers a girl could ask for.
Cole starts the second (final) year of graduate business school today! Wish him luck. Urg, I have the first-day-of-school-jitters by proxy.
Yours,

Oh no! Lying around drinking cold beers? That will never do on holiday!
Good to have you back honey
aaa vacations....just enjoying a 5 day weekend and it feels goooood to do absolutly nothing ! and also good to be back in the blogger world !
Your vacation sounds lovely besides the heat and humidity part :)
Glad you had such a nice holiday ~ it sounds lovely!
It's good to see you back though. ^__^
xox,
bonita of Depict This!
Great photographs as ever – I'm amazed by your iphone camera! It's so luxurious to have a countryside retreat to escape to every so often – it gets you ready to face everything else in your real life!
Weather like that is impossible though, isn't it – what do you pack to wear?! It's almost worth it for the thunderstorms though, I think.
This is my first time visiting your blog and I love it! Your pictures are amazing and I love the way you write about your vacation :)
Good luck to your husband! I'm starting the last year of my degree next week so I understand how he must be feeling!
Sounds like a wonderful vacation, glad to hear you had a nice time.
Cole's outfit is great! My husband approves.
I started my last year of grad school as well! Wow... it's a trip. He's going to do so well! Best of luck!

I looooove the effects on your photos, so atmospheric! Kind of dark and warm and distant, like they're from another time.
Sounds like you got a bit of all weather up there! I guess you guys are done with the heat, but that part sounds like my favourite!
Great to have you back, and I'm wishing Cole all the luck of the new school year!
great photos. Gotta love the iphone!! I especially love that photo of Cole smoking the cigar (the colorful one) and the row of ducks. :D
Good luck to Cole and good luck to you as I'm sure you'll be sharing some of the stress :)
