Lulu Letty: Calico Days

Calico Days

Calico Days Calico Days Calico Days
The days have been changing so much since Cole has been back in school. He's so crazy busy and gone pretty late a few nights a week, that it's taking me some time to adjust. I'm a bit resistant of change. Truthfully, I really don't like it. But all things must change and I need to get on board. Anyone else out there avoid change like the plague?

Now onto the dress...while this might not be my normal attire, I absolutely loved wearing Starr's dress. It's so hippie-love-child that I couldn't resist pairing it with my floral wreath. I also felt that my white tights and navy platforms where just the thing to finish the look. Calico Days Calico Days Calico Days Calico Days

These pictures are beautiful! You look so lovely in the dress.

As for me, I spent my weekend in Paris visiting a friend. Right now I'm waiting for my train to leave back to Germany.

Good luck adjusting to the new situation. It's always hard at first but it'll get better, I am sure!

Oh Maria, these are just too precious! The outfit is perfect and you remind me a little of Louise (Pandora). Gorgeous ladies, you are! (:

Emma  – (September 20, 2010 5:43 AM)

As the She and Him song goes "Change is hard, I should know..." (hehe, had to get that in there). It's never easy getting used to something different than what you're used to especially if it's something you're not very fond of, but its all for good in the long run right?

I hope this change doesn't take you too long to adjust to. It's difficult when you're used to having the person you love around all the time and then suddenly they have lots of other things to do that keep them busy and away from you but for me it makes me appreciate the time we do get to spend together all the more.

Lovely outfit!

Yup, brilliant styling and that dress is so cool. :)

Well, I have times when I just detest change and stepping out of my comfort zone. Other times I absolutely crave change and just the thought of it makes me excited! Fickle girl!

I totally understand the aversion to change. I like getting in a schedule and sticking with it.. it can be really hard to adjust to something new.

My weekend was lovely- the perfect New England weather! I started a blog which feels weird because i've never blogged before. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

As a bit (okay, a lot) of a hippie child, I love this dress and the whole look with a passion! The floral wreath is perfect, and those shoes are awesome! :)

genevieve, sandbox romance  – (September 20, 2010 10:43 AM)

That dress is precious! It's fun to see how you dressed up something a bit different from what you usually wear. The addition of the floral wreath is PERFECTION.

nancy : The Sway Report  – (September 20, 2010 11:01 AM)

I like seeing this look on you! It definitely suits you, just as much as the dandy preppy look does. It's nice to have some variety, right?

Grad school is just plain hard. I don't know if it's all about change. Last semester was so discouraging because every time Patrick and I would "hang out," it would really just be me doing homework in his presence. Frankly, it sucks!

Luckily, it won't last forever! Change to the school routine is difficult! Keep your chin up. :)

I certainly have a tendency to avoid change. It is not always welcome. Occasionally I have freak out days though when I feel completely stuck and book flights and make plans and rearrange things. Those have been happening more often recently.

I'm liking the hippy Maria! This definitely has a very retro vibe to it. You found such a perfectly flattened field for these pictures too.

If you were actually in the 60's/70's what concert would you be going to in this ensemble??

Sarah with an "h"  – (September 21, 2010 12:11 PM)

I love this outfit, Maria. It is very hippy-ish, isn't it? Very pretty.

As for not liking change, I think most people are that way to some extent. But if everything stayed the same life would be rather boring, I think. My grandfather always used to say that nothing stays the same--good or bad. Things are always changing. Sometimes, we like it and sometimes we hate it. When I'm not liking the change I pray--a lot. God always gives me a better attitude eventually.

Take care and have a great week!

:o)Sarah
