Thankfully, Cole made it home just in time for us to rush off to take some photos. I think all those crossed fingers helped! Poor Cole never gets a break, I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.

Photos by Cole. Thanks, darling!

Yours,

Awww you look so beautiful in that dress. It's lovely. Perfect for fall.
Hey there! Love the dress! I'm planning on visiting the Salvation Army's in "our area" Saturday - I was thinking the half-off sale was this Saturday. Did you happen to notice what the sale dates are?
That dress is positively lovely! You seem to stumble upon all the best finds!

What a babe!! I love this outfit so much, and what a steal on the dress. It looks so good. Good job, Salvation Army. Im in loooove with those boots. I just got similiar ones, but they have no heel. I was inspired by your boots a few days ago in one of your posts and figured I had to go out and buy some! Hope you are having a sweet week and that you wont have a limited wardrobe for long!

Lovely! It looks like a vintage Aquascutum or Burberry mac from the back – great way to wear something in this style before fall kicks in!
Simple Village Girl

Hello to your amazing hair.
Ooh what a great find! And I love the curls Maria. You look phenomenal (:
lovely find! i wish i could pull off something like that. xx
well good job finding something so you could wear more! The only time I've ever seen a black squirrel before this shot you took, was when I went to Edgar Allan Poe's house (the one in Philadelphia). They are all brownish here otherwise.
You look lovely as can be!!!
I love the belt. And your hair curly :)
You look adorable. I like the boots with that dress. Great finds.

Oh! Love the black squirrel! I went to Fordham Univ in the Bronx and the place was chock full of the little buggers. When I first started there someone told me that they're half rat, half squirrel ("rat squirrels"). Seemed probable to me, as we were in the Bronx, so I went around telling everyone I knew about this phenomenon. But no, they were lying, they are in fact just there own variety of squirrel. I prefer them so much more to gray squirrels, however, which is all we have here in New England.

Wow, Maria you just proved that you can pull off anything! I could never get away with a dress like that. On you it looks amazing though. I love the way it almost looks like a coat.
simply adorable! and I just noticed how long your hair is getting! very pretty...

I am still in love with your boots!

So cute! If you're still in Royal Oak, Pitaya is worth checking out. Their boutique has some really cute stuff, and their prices are surprisingly reasonable.
i can't get over those boots! so cute. And is that a black squirrel? We don't have those 'round here!
Your hair looks so pretty in these photos! And you're right you are very lucky to have Cole. He seems like a keeper. ha
This is more of a technical question, How do you know to when something is a 'vintage' piece vs. just being a 'thrifted' item? I'm always curious how you girls can distinguish the difference.
Thanks Maria!
Best,

Your hair looks pretty all curly! How do your straighten it, usually, by the way? Flat iron?
I love your boots. I know i've seen them before but every time I can't get over how perfect they are.
Christy of Dress Rehearsal
amazing vintage find. I like your hair wavy like that!
The lighting in these photos is gorgeous, you look so pretty and glowy!
Also I have a mad love for your JC boots and that belt, I think they both need to be bought and put in my closet as soon as possible! xx

i really love your hair curled like that! i think you had mentioned once before that you wanted to do rag curls is this the result or just a curling iron? rag curls are super fun and easy....hmm i was doing it for a while...maybe i think i might pick that up again :) black squirrels are really awesome...i saw one in santa cruz once pretty cool as we have brownish red squirrels at our house and they are crazy!!
xo,

Cute dress, but that Salvation Army in Royal Oak is way over priced! It's so frustrating! P.S. I was wearing a bow that I bought from your etsy shop at work the other day and I got TONS of compliments on it all day!
Last picture is adorable. Your hair is magical in this post.
You look kind of like a detective sneaking around the forest here, in a good way of course! :)
