The Concert

Whooohooo! Blogger is finally working. It's been down all day.

I've been wanting to tell you all day about the She & Him concert. In a word, awesome! Seriously, one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I sang and danced like a dork and had a grand old time. Even the opening act, The Chapin Sisters, was superb.Zooey and Matt are even more incredible live. Which is certainly not the case for most musicians. Zooey looked so adorable while she danced, sang and played the keyboard, tamborine, and banjo. Plus, she was wearing a white dress, just like me.
After the concert, Cole and I met up with Sara and her boyfriend Kyle, Katie, Cat, and Lauren. Such a fun group, they were all so sweet. I'm afraid they got to meet drunk Maria, which is always interesting, but probably for the best, since I would have been too nervous otherwise. ;)
The only downer of the whole evening was not being able to get a photo pass for the concert. I really wanted to be able to take photos!
I would love to tell you so much more, but it's late in the day and I need to start cooking dinner. Overall, if you get the chance, you really should go see them. Really.
XOXO

How exciting! I can hardly wait until August. I will try to bring my camera in with my husband's zoom lens when they come to SLC for you. I think I can because it is outdoor and free.
Aw! I love going to shows and I'm terribly excited to see your concert outfit.

AH! It was awesome hanging out! And drunk Maria is fine! I mean I wasn't drinking and I always am ridiculous, haha!
More Mitten Meetups are in store for all of us!
I missed them the first time they came to Nashville at an intimate concert venue...one of my biggest concert regrets!

I saw them a couple of weeks ago in Oakland. They were so spot-on I couldn't believe it!
Also, when I saw them she was wearing a white dress! It was a sparkley little halter number. Adorable!
Nothing is better than singing and dancing at a concert. Can't wait to see the outfit!
Matt would like to point out that she is hot. ;)
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I'm so jealous you got to see them live!
Maria! I had soooo much fun with everyone! We should do something again soon, lots of stuff coming up this summer :) emailing you pics right now!
I would love to see She & Him. I'm rather shock that they are not coming to play near me.
Wow, that's so exciting! I'm glad you had a great time. Can't wait to see your outfit! :)
It was so very lovely to meet you. I didn't get a chance to say it, but your dress was adorable as are you. I liked drunk Maria. I hope we're able to have another meet-up sometime. P.S. If you ever go to the main art and I'm working - free movies for you and Cole on me ;)
i heart zooey d. she's beyond lovely.
No surprise there. I adore her and am dying to see them myself!
Zooey (sigh, shoe gaze)
BTW, photo passes aren't worth it. They usually kick you out of the stage area after a couple songs.
Zooey is amazing. I would love to see them live! If only they would come to New Zealand.. *sigh*
haha you need to get wise and secrete a camera somewhere on your person. i used to stick mine down my bra between my boobs, even the strictest of on-the-door checks wouldn't find it!
blogger meet ups sound like a ball.
Sooo jealous. They are coming to Atlanta - which isn't too terribly far from me, but it already sold out :( So glad you got to go though!
Oh, I love the Chapin Sisters!
I imagine Drunk Maria to still be classy to the core.
Awww... That sounds like so much fun! I really wanted to see them, but they were sold out in new york :( It sounds like it was a great concert!
p.s. I'd love to see drunk Maria! :)
Oh you are so lucky. Sounds just fantastic. Thats so funny about the drunk bit...sure you are a cute tipsy person.
hugs DJ
I saw them in Chicago! Although I'm using "saw" loosely, as I could not actually see the stage in the huge Chicago amphitheater. But it was free and we picnicked, so I didn't mind :)
I'm so glad to hear the concert was amazing! I have tickets to see them in DC in July, and your post just re-ignited my excitement for that show.
