There are a few bands that strongly remind me of my college experience (1999-2003)- Air, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Coldplay...and Jimmy Eat World.

i used to listen to jimmy eat world a LOT in high school! bleed american is one of my favorites--one of those albums i can listen to over and over and not get tired of it.

Jimmy Eat World has a special place in my heart. Reminds me of high school. =D One of the few bands that I listened to then that I still really like now.

Nothing like the Clarity album,don't you agree? I love it. My husband and I harmonize together listening to it every year around Christmas time. He saw them in 1999 and only about 30 people were there. pretty odd. I don't know if I saw them or not the following year (I saw 3 shows every weekend for 3 years so my memory has died in that sense). I don't know many people who have listened to them also since their earlier days. Most people I knew started talking about them two years after I was already listening to them, which was nice, but weird since they were not interested in hearing lesser known bands when I told them about them back then. That is always a little sad, but oh well. Yey Jimmy Eat World!! I need to listen more to their newer albums. I've had them, but I hardly listen to them. I mainly listen to Static Prevails, Clarity, and Bleed American. I do like their two other albums though. and I still have to hear their EP and self titled album as well - I probably have them too. I'm bad. . . :: sigh ::

I love that you posted about Jimmy Eat World! Their first three albums were kind of my high school life too and I used to stay up late doing my calculus homework and listening to them. I loved that their name came from a picture that one of the band member's nephews drew with a caption that said 'Jimmy Eat World.' Adorable!
