2009: A Review

Well, it's been seven months since I posted my first photo shoot. Here's a review of my favorite looks from each month, plus one of my favorite songs from Lykke Li- Time Flies.

June- It was a gloriously hot day and when we found this little lake it was a moment of pure joy:

I can't believe I've been posting photo shoots for only seven months! All I can say is that I've enjoyed every minute of it and I know, without a doubt, that it wouldn't be half as wonderful without such amazing readers as yourselves!! Thank you for supporting me when I felt insecure and encouraging me when I felt like giving up!

I seriously couldn't have done any of this without you!!

My Seventh Wedding Anniversary

Today is Cole's and my seventh wedding anniversary! To think that I was only 21 and Cole 22 boggles the mind. Getting married in our early twenties was quite a challenge. We experienced so many huge changes in so few years, it's a miracle that we grew together instead of apart. Through each up and down, our relationship was tested and in the end always came out stronger and more prepared for what lay ahead.

Cole is the only person I could imagine experiencing those moments with- the good, the bad and the magical.

I love you darling!

Thanks so much for all the sweet comments on yesterday's post. A few of you must be psychic when you mentioned I should sell the peter pan collars! I was planning on testing out a few more collars in hopes of adding them to my shop this new year!

So, I had a completely different look planned but changed my mind last minute. I felt it was time to sport the blue tights. It's funny how they seemed so much trickier to wear than the red tights, but maybe that's because red is my favorite color.

This is the final look in my holiday series, which I really hope everyone has enjoyed. I won't be posting too much over the next week. My big sis will be in town and I haven't seen her in ages. But you can expect a special 7th wedding anniversary post on the 27th!

DIY Tuesdays: Leopard Accessories

I took these photos last night and had to use the flash, which I try to avoid at all costs. I feel like it makes everything wonky. For example, my hair looks way more red-ish then it really is. Bah.

Anyways, since I had leftover fabric from my DIY vest, I thought I would make a hair bow and peter pan collar! What do you all think?

This song seems to follow me wherever I go. Love this fun little impromptu performance.

Holiday Look #5: Sunny Sunday

Knowing how watery and squinty my eyes get in the sun, I decided to grab my Oliver Peoples Zooey glasses for the shoot. Thank goodness I did because I tried a few shots without them and the results were quite tragic. The one good thing to come out of so much sun was how wonderfully warm it was. I was barely cold.

In other news, I'm so terribly sad to hear that Brittnay Murphy died yesterday at the young age of 32. As you all know, Clueless is one of my favorite movies and I always adored her character. Plus, I was just watched her in another of my fave movies, Love and Other Disasters, a few days ago. So sad. RIP Brittany.
